Theatre Street recently celebrated 10 years investing in and delivering quality, affordable performing arts services - dance, drama and singing - to the young people of Bexley and Greenwich boroughs.
Theatre Street provides dance classes for children and adults in West Thamesmead, Bexleyheath & Erith and Stage School for children in Plumstead & Bexleyheath. We are a registered BTDA school with a continually outstanding record of exam results with the association. Since we began in 2001, TSSPA has been dedicated to the highest standards of training, a personal touch and being value for money. TSSPA is a Social Enterprise Company run on a not-for-private-profit basis with a vision and intention to be of benefit to the community and its young people.
In September 2012 we will be opening The Studio at The Link Thamesmead, a new state-of-the-art rehearsal and performance venue that will include our class studios and a 160-seat theatre. At this new venue, we aim to become a creative hub for the community. It will signal some changes for us and our students that might take some getting used to, but all will be positive and I think that the benefits will very quickly become clear in our new home.
Theatre Street has one other core aim - to be the highlight of your child's week. Whether they will be the stars of tomorrow or just need something to do after school or at the weekends, the skills and confidence they will gain with us will last a lifetime.

Plus, we believe that children should be physically active. They will make new friends, learn new skills and develop a love for the arts that is invaluable and will hopefully last a lifetime.
Our students can also have the opportunity to audition for TV, Film and theatre work ranging from West End musicals and local productions - see our agency page for news on current successes. We recently had three Stage School students in Oliver and one of our girls was in the original cast of Shrek the Musical playing young Fiona in the West End, and we are always on the lookout for opportunities for our students. One of our former students is Saffron Coomber who has gone on to find fame playing the major role of Sapphire in Tracy Beaker Returns on ITV.
With over ten years behind us, the facts speak for themselves -Theatre Street is a name you can trust to provide a safe and creative environment for your son or daughter, where we will endeavour to help their confidence grow, their talents shine and their lives be enriched by the joys of the performing arts. I hope you find what you are looking for with us and we look forward to hearing from and meeting you and your child. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions that the website does not answer.
