About the School
Theatre Street provides dance classes for children and adults in West Thamesmead & Erith and Stage School for children in Plumstead & Bexleyheath. We have been running successfully for over eight years, and are a registered BTDA school with a truly outstanding record of exam results with the association. Since we began in 2001, TSSPA has been dedicated to the highest standards of training, a personal touch and being value for money. TSSPA is a Social Enterprise Company run on a not-for-profit bases with a vision and intention to be of benefit to the community and its young people.
We are in the planning stages of the School finding a permanent home in the Thamesmead Youth Leisure Zone - The Link - at the Southern Arches, a project being led by Trust Thamesmead that is planned to open in Summer 2011. At The Link, TSSPA will be housed in purpose built dance studios and performance space.
Theatre Street has one main aim - to be the highlight of your child's week. Whether they will be the stars of tomorrow or just need something to do after school or at the weekends, the skills and confidence they will gain with us will last a lifetime.
Plus, we believe that children should be physically active. They will make new friends, learn new skills and develop a love for the arts that is invaluable and will hopefully last a lifetime.
Our students can also have the opportunity to audition for TV, Film and theatre work ranging from West End musicals and local productions - see our agency page for news on current successes. We currently have three Stage School students in Oliver! in the West End, and we are always on the lookout for opportunities for our students.
With eight years behind us, the facts speak for themselves -Theatre Street is a name you can rely on.
