TSSPA Stage School has one main aim - to be the highlight of your child’s week. Students are grouped by age and experience, and begins with some of our youngest students, starting at around four years old.
For the past year our new Bexleyheath branch has offered dance, singing and drama to a new group of children. This new branch of Stage School is going from strength to strength and now has three groups running on Saturday afternoon. The original Stage School still runs in Plumstead between 9am and 3.30pm.
Some of our Stage School students have been with us for years and have been involved in our many shows and presentations. Each time a new student starts, every effort is made to welcome them into our world, to make them feel comfortable and at ease. Building confidence is a primary objective of the School across the board - confidence that may lead to the theatrical superstars of tomorrow, but more importantly confidence that makes a child feel good about his or herself: confident in the way they move, speak and interact with others.
The Stage School syllabus encompasses a wide range of aspects of the performing arts. Drama runs the gamut of improvisation, scenes, mime, script work, drama games; dance classes are modern & theatre styles; singing uses musical theatre as it’s starting base but again encompasses a wide repertoire.
